Cleaning the patio roof: Enjoy the light once again
Green grime and leaves spoil your view.
A veranda or canopy is an extension of your living room. But after a wet autumn or winter, that beautiful roof often turns into a dull layer of moss, green algae, and bird droppings. Cleaning a patio canopy is a nightmare for many people. The panels are delicate, the roof is large, and – most importantly – you often cannot walk on it. Balancing on a ladder with a garden hose is awkward and dangerous.
Do you want to enjoy the sun and a clean roof again? Stay safe on the ground. With an Eagle Extend Telescopic pole you can easily clean your glass or polycarbonate roof yourself. Safe, quick, and without back pain.
Safe and Scratch-Free Cleaning: See the Difference Yourself

Why clean your veranda roof with Eagle Extend?
Whether you have a roof made of glass or polycarbonate (corrugated sheets): the material is delicate. A high-pressure cleaner is out of the question (it damages the top layer and seals) and a stiff broom causes scratches. Eagle Extend® offers the perfect solution:
- Safe for Polycarbonate & Glass: Our professional Washing brushes (such as the 5-flat or Standard Soft) have split bristle tips. These are soft enough to prevent scratches on plastic sheets, yet effective against dirt.
- Do not walk on the roof: Most canopies are not built to be walked on. With our Aluminium Supreme or Carbon Fiber telescopic poles you can easily bridge distances up to 12 meters. You stand safely on your terrace and reach up to the gutter.
- Foaming power: Green deposits are often baked on. Thanks to our soap dispenser and water-conducting pole, you loosen the dirt and rinse it away immediately, without carrying buckets.
- Reach every corner: With the included angle adapter you set the brush in the right position, so you can perfectly reach the sloping roof surface.

Having a specialist clean a patio roof is costly due to the surface area and difficult accessibility. Expect to pay quickly between €100 and €200 each time.
Purchasing an Eagle Extend set often pays for itself after one thorough spring cleaning. And the great thing is: you can use the same pole for your solar panels and windows.

Step-by-step guide: Cleaning a patio roof in 4 steps
Follow this plan for a clear roof without scratches or streaks.
Step 1
Remove the dirt
Before you start with water: remove leaves, twigs, and pine needles. This prevents scratching by rubbing sand over the panels. Use the Ragebol on your Telescopic pole for this, or gently sweep the roof clean with a soft brush (dry).
Step 2
Soaping & Soaking
You should not 'scrape off' green deposits, but 'soak them off'. Connect the SoapFlow soap dispenser. Use our All Purpose Cleaner or a special cleaner for plastic. Spray the entire roof with a thick layer of foam and let it work for 5 minutes (avoid drying out in full sun!).
Step 3
Brushing
Extend the pole and brush the panes clean strip by strip. Start at the top (near the wall) and work towards the gutter. Use plenty of water through the pole to wash away the dirt. Do you have aluminum beams? Take these along immediately.
Step 4
Spotless Rinsing
Do you have a glass canopy? Then you don’t want to see dried lime drops when you look up. Rinse the roof afterwards with the PureFlow Water Softener. Do you have polycarbonate? Then rinse thoroughly with tap water. Make sure all soap residues are washed out of the profiles.

Five-Surface Washing Brush: Our recommendation for canopies. Thanks to the bristles on the side, you do not damage the aluminium beams and you can reach well into the junction between the panel and the frame.
All-purpose cleaner: Indispensable for fascia boards. Dissolves soot, fine dust, and green deposits. Safe for paint, Trespa, and Keralit.
