Cleaning solarpanels: Increase your yield immediately with Eagle Extend®
A thick layer of snow on the roof is a beautiful sight, but for solar panel owners it often means a zero yield on the inverter. A pity, because solar panels can perform excellently on clear, cold winter days. Do you want to benefit from the winter sun without taking life-threatening risks on a slippery roof? With the telescopic poles from Eagle Extend, you can safely clear your panels of snow from the ground.
Is it worthwhile to remove snow from solar panels?
There is a misunderstanding that solar panels yield nothing in winter. The opposite is true: solar cells conduct electricity even more efficiently at low temperatures. However, a thin layer of snow blocks all sunlight, causing production to stop.
As long as it is cloudy and dark, the effort may not outweigh the benefits. But does the sun shine after a snowfall? Then you immediately miss out on returns. By clearing the panels of snow, the system immediately resumes production. Moreover, you prevent a thick layer of snow from lying for days and (in rare cases) causing damage due to its weight.
Thanks to these advantages, you can start without worries:
- 100% Scratch-Free with SolarClear: Cheap brushes use stiff, recycled bristles that can scratch. Our SolarClear Snow Remover is equipped with PolyFlex fibers. These are soft enough for your panels but strong enough to loosen stubborn dirt.
- Protection through Control HexaLock®: You don’t want a snow remover to suddenly turn away and hit the frame or the glass. Thanks to our HexaLock® adapter, the brush stays firmly in the correct angle.
- Reach every corner: With our stiff poles (choice of Aluminium or Carbon) and lengths up to several meters, you can easily reach the top row of panels without the telescopic pole bending.
Calculation example: You earn back your pole yourself
Having solar panels cleaned quickly costs €100 per time. The purchase of a professional Eagle Extend set is a one-time investment. Result: After 2 to 3 washings, you have already earned back the pole. After that, every washing is pure gain for your purse.

Step-by-step guide: Professionally cleaning Solarpanels in 4 steps
With the right preparation, washing your panels is safe and effective. Follow this plan for the highest yield and a streak-free result.
Step 1
Work dry: Do not connect a water hose. You want to remove the snow dry. Water would freeze immediately and form a layer of ice.
Step 2
Extending the Telescopic pole
Set the Eagle Extend® Telescopic pole upright and extend it to the desired length. Thanks to the orange SureLock clamps and the AlignTrack V-groove, this goes smoothly and the segments do not turn unintentionally. Attach the brush with the HexaLock® adapter; this way you are sure the brush is firmly fixed and will not accidentally strike your delicate panels.
Step 3
Pull, do not push: Gently place the brush at the top of the panel (or as high as you can reach) and pull the snow downward. This requires less effort than pushing and prevents the handle from bending.
Step 4
Don't be too eager: Try not to scrape away every snowflake or frozen ice remnant. Once most of the snow is gone and the black panel becomes visible, the sun will melt the rest within a few minutes due to the heat generated by the panel.

Solar Cleaner: Many household cleaning agents (such as all-purpose cleaner) leave a greasy film that actually attracts fresh dust. Our Solar Cleaner cleans deeply, rinses completely away, and helps you maintain efficiency.
PureFlow Water Softener: Ordinary tap water contains lime and minerals. When this dries in the sun, white spots form that still block sunlight. With PureFlow, you prevent this and achieve the maximum yield from your panels.
